About Anya Cloud
 
Anya Cloud is in her second year at UCSD. She studied Dance and Liberal Studies as an undergraduate at the University of Montana, worked a lot of different jobs (both inside and outside the dance world), and co-directed "The Wrecking Crew Dance Company" that created and performed original experimental dance in the Northwest.  Anya is particularly compelled by exploring the various states of the human condition through movement and cross-disciplinary collaboration.  She is perpetually perplexed and inspired by questioning the relationship between process and performance. Her artistry draws on contact improvisation, release technique, somatics, and theatricality. Since relocating to San Diego Anya has had the pleasure of working and performing with Yolande Snaith, Alicia Peterson Baskel, and Leslie Seiters.
