Danae Iris McQueen (Costume Designer) is a second-year MFA student. Her costume designs were most recently seen in David Jacobiís Battlecruiser Aristotle (UC San Diego Wagner New Play Festival).
She recently had the immense pleasure of working in collaboration with director Jon Jory and costume designer Margaret A. McKowen on the world premiere of Jane Martinís H2O.
Danae designed costumes in collaboration with Anthony McCall for Jonah Bokaerís ECLIPSE, the inaugural performance for the new BAM Fisher building. The piece is currently touring. Her designs were on display at the Fabric Workshop and Museum in Philadelphia, PA in another Bokaer piece, Occupant, which toured in 2013. Her designs were featured in American Theatre Magazine along with the Contemporary American Theater Festival for their world premiere production of Johnna Adamsí Gidionís Knot.
She has formerly worked with the Alley Theatre, Cincinnati Ballet, Delaware Resident Ensemble Players, Opera Delaware, Theatre of the Seventh Sister, Muhlenberg Summer Music Theatre, Great Lakes Theater, and the Idaho Shakespeare Festival, among others.
Danae received her BA from Baldwin Wallace Universityís Department of Theatre and Dance in 2010 and anticipates her MFA in Costume Design from the University of California, San Diego in the spring of 2016.
