About Lillian Bartenstein

Lily Bartenstein is a third-year MFA candidate in scenic design with interests in projection design and lighting.

She received her BA in Interdisciplinary Studies in the Humanities with a concentration in Theatre and Performance Studies from the University of Chicago. From 2008 to 2012, she managed the MeX Theater in the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts in Louisville, KY, where she developed the MeX Theater Initiative to return the space to its original mission of supporting the artistic development of the local theater and performance community. She also worked as a freelance scenic and lighting designer, most notably with Walden Theatre, a theatre training program for students aged 8-18, and with The Savage Rose Classical Theatre Company, where she is a company member.
