Alumni Spotlight - Ty Granderson Jones MFA - Acting

Developing several projects via my new production company, Creole Celina Films; A full-length feature film, The Cool and Creepy, that I wrote and developed as a Sundance Feature Film Project screenplay. The project is being produced with new German partners and German financing; A 30-minute single camera television pilot, The Madness, which I also wrote; and a Pilot Presentation/Short Film called Napoleonic....I also wrote......click on NAPOLEONIC the movie < http://www.napoleonicthemovie.com/> ; and finally, co-producing a film, Oakland Rocks with partner, writer/director Eric Blakeney <http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0086826/> who wrote and directed Gun Shy (2000) <http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0171356/> with Sandra Bullock and Liam Neeson. Mekhi Phifer <http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001616/> of ER fame is also involved with his company.

In between gigs I am teaching (off and on) a master Acting for Film class at the world renown New York Film Academy < http://www.nyfa.com/> . And traveling to Rap convention due to the character I played called 40 Dog in the Rap cult classic CB4 <http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0106500/> with Chris Rock.

I recently participated in the LA staging of a few of Suzi Lori-Parks 365 Plays at The Odyssey Theatre. And I will be returning to the stage and revisit a role I created in the original play, Window of Opportunity produced by The Doors' legend, John Densmore.
