Biography |
Knight has recently joined the Theatre and Dance faculty at UCSD. A filmmaker, animator and projection designer, her short films and
animations have screened at museums and galleries, including the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Museum of Photographic Arts in San
Diego.
She has worked as an optical printer, a painter on the films of animation pioneer Faith Hubley, and as a cinematographer
for Yudi Sewraj’s video installations. Animation credits include animation assistance on cult hit Hedwig and the Angry Inch (italicized) and most recently
compositing hand-drawn animation with live-action footage for the feature film on The Toe Tactic (italicized) directed by Emily Hubley.
As a projection designer for theatrical productions she has collaborated with composer Shahrokh Yadegari and choreographers Yolanda Snaith. She is currently
designing projections for choreographer John Malashock and for a collaboration with Judith Dolan and musician Joe Jackson.
