Mandell Weiss Forum Studio
The Weiss Forum Studio Theatre is a black box with an overhead grid
for lighting. The house dimming package consists of 92 ETC Sensor dimmers,
92 at 2.4kW and 2 2.4kW fluorescent dimmers. The system is dimmer per
circuit, with 36 dimmers in raceways and the rest fed to the grid via
socapex multi-cables.
The control console is a ETC Express 125. Four flexible non-dims are
available, in addition to the option of setting the Sensor dimmers to
non-dim mode. House lighting must be provided on a per-show basis and
all components (fixtures, cable, and dimmers) come from the stock of
the space.
Cable stock is continually upgraded but the cost of renting additional
cable, two-fers, etc. must come from the show budget.
