Biography
RONALD MCCANTS is a first-year MFA Student. The Strangest Fruit received Honorable Mention for the Kennedy Center's 2008 Lorraine Hansberry Playwriting Award, and is his debut play at UCSD. Some of Ronald's plays are: A Poet's Prayer (Winner of the Eleanor Frost Award); Our Mother Rosa; Pure Imagination; Rain, So Blue; Listen, Lord-A Play; and For the Blind. His plays have been produced at: Dartmouth College, UCSD, and San Diego State University.
