Samuel has lost his job, his girlfriend and his dignity. Sierra is a homeless teenager looking for God. A shadowy woman named Adrian promises the answers. A re-envisioning of the legend of the Pied Piper, Hamelin explores the price of revolution. How far are we willing to go? Where do you draw the line between between transcendence and self-annihilation? And how do we make a life for ourselves in a world overrun with rats?

Kristin Idaszak (Playwright) is a first year MFA playwriting candidate. Previous credits: The Golden Lasso (Perishable Theatre, Providence, RI), We Live Here (co-writer, Theatre Seven, Chicago - Jeff nominee for Best New Work), Yoni Ki Baat (co-writer, Rasaka, Chicago). She received an Incubator grant from the city of Chicago's Department of Cultural Affairs to adapt Lysistrata with Vintage Theatre Collective, and received a Downstage Left Playwriting Residency from Stage Left Theatre. Her work has also been produced or developed at the Steppenwolf Garage (with Caffeine Theatre), Northlight Theatre, Collaboraction, American Theatre Company, and LiveWire in Chicago and The Inkwell in Washington, D.C. Previously Kristin served as the Associate Artistic Director and Literary Manager of Caffeine Theatre and the Associate Artistic Director of Collaboraction.
