Academic Advising

 

Virtual Advising Center 

  • Our advisor is available through the Virtual Advising Center (VAC) to answer brief academic advising questions. Questions directed through the VAC will be answered within 2-3 business days.

     

    Examples of what can be addressed in the VAC: 

     

    • Questions regarding major and minor requirements
    • Questions regarding courses
    • Questions about department policy
    • Degree Audit check and correction
    • Graduation Check

 

Drop-Ins

Monday and Tuesday In-Person or via Zoom
1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

 

Drop-in advising is dedicated to answering quick questions or addressing immediate concerns.

 

Examples of what can be addressed during a 5-15 minute drop-in advising session:

 

  • Questions regarding major and minor requirements
  • Enrollment Questions
  • Degree Audit check and correction
  • Academic Issues

 

Virtual Zoom Drop-In Advising:

  • Please sign in to virtual drop-ins using the "Meet with Advisor" tab in the Virtual Advising Center.
    • Each session will be limited to 5 - 15 minutes.

In-Person Drop-In Advising:

  • Available at the Theatre & Dance Department Office in Galbraith Hall 
    • Undergraduate Advisor: GH 209

 

Appointments

 

Wednesday via Zoom or Thursday in-person
10:00 am - 11:30 am and 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

 

30-minute appointments are available to address inquiries such as:

  • Long-term academic planning for major requirements
  • Degree Audit check and correction
  • Current quarter planning and scheduling
  • Selecting classes for next quarter
  • Study Abroad Planning
  • Readmission

 

If you are interested in making a quarter by quarter plan with an advisor, please create a plan to the best of your knowledge and come to drop-in advising with the prepared plan. Our advisor can review your quarter by quarter plan and make necessary edits. 

Appointments can be scheduled 24 hours to 2 weeks in advance. Please schedule appointments using Calendly.

Students who miss their appointment or are more than 5 minutes late will have their appointments canceled.

EASy Request – 5 Business days after submission

Declaring a Minor – 5 Business days after submission

Undergraduate Student Petition – 2 Business days after submission. It can take up to 2 business weeks to receive a decision. 

Double Major – You will receive a decision 5 Business days after submission.  

SAP and Unit Limit Extension – 2-5 Business days after submission.
