Valeria Ruiz

Hi there! I’m Valeria Ruiz (they/she/elle/ella) and I’m a second year double majoring in Dance and Sociology. This is my first year as a BA rep and I’m happy to serve the department in any way I can. I focus mainly on latin dance styles such as salsa and bachata and contemporary dance styles. I also have some experience in ballet, musical theatre dance, modern, hip hop and apparatus work. When I’m not in the studio I can be found at the beach, at the movies, exploring different San Diego communities, or grabbing a sweet treat with a friend :) Some on campus organizations that I am involved in are MEChA (Movimiento Estudiantil Chicanx de Aztlán) and the Salsa Society.
