Jim Short is is a sixth-year PhD candidate from St. Louis, MO. He received his BA from Rhodes College and his MA from Washington University in St. Louis. With a passion for the physical stylization of Commedia dell’Arte, he trained at the Accademia dell’Arte in Arezzo, Italy. In the last year, Jim dramaturged Nguyen’s Vietgone at the San Diego Rep, was a resident dramaturg for the Native Film and Storytelling Institute, and taught a mask workshop for UC San Diego’s undergrad Company 157.
