Bio
Topaz Cooks is a non-AEA Stage Manager and a recent MFA graduate from UCSD, currently based in San Diego. Originally from Minneapolis, Topaz has experience stage managing new plays, outdoor Shakespeare, musicals, opera, and dance. She was the Production Manager / Production Stage Manager of the Duluth Playhouse from 2016-2018 while overseeing the renovations and reopening of the historic NorShor Theater. Select credits include productions with: The Old Globe, The Children's Theatre Company, Theatre Latté Da, Lyric Opera of the North, The Public Theatre of Minnesota, Artistry Theatre, and Walking Shadow Theater Company. UC San Diego credits: A Midsummer Night’s Dream (ASM), Heap, Elektra, Monster (WNPF ‘19), WinterWorks ‘19, Life is a Dream (ASM), Mother Courage and her Children (ASM). She received her BFA in Theatre with an emphasis in Stage Management from the University of Minnesota, Duluth, where she also dabbled in Scenic Design and Scenic Painting.
