Torkan Omari

Biography

Torkan Omari (she/ her) is a second-year MFA actor. She was born in Afghanistan and grew up in the Netherlands. She holds a BA in International Law and Philosophy and worked in journalism, PR and design thinking in Colombia, Germany and Afghanistan. As an actress she enjoys work that humanizes the dehumanized and explores the human, the female and the refugee body. As a writer she combines realism with futurism to envision new realities.
