Kimberly Kocol

First-year MFA Costume Design Student

Biography

 

Kimberly Kocol grew up on American military bases across the US and in Germany.  She has been a resident of California since 2001.  She currently holds two BAs in Drama and English from UC Irvine (2009) and a Masters Degree in Teaching, also from UCI (2017).  Since graduating she has worked as a costume designer, wardrobe technician, actress, teacher, and director for theaters, film companies, and schools in Orange County, San Diego County and LA.  Most recently, she has worked as a costume designer, design technician, and adjunct theatrical design instructor at Palomar College in San Marcos.

 

Her credits include: Chess with the East West Players, The Reindeer Monologues and The Laramie cycle with the Chance Theater, three plays and two musicals as a high school theater director, and five plays as a professional designer at Palomar College including Herbert Siguenza's Manifest Destinitis, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [revised] (again), and Hedatron.
